Job Describtion

Recent Update - This team is looking for an emphasis in VMware Horizon or Workspace ONE listed (or a reference to managing VDI – Virtual Desktop Infrastructure). Preferably worded something like “Managed/Tuned VMware infrastructure hosting Horizon/VDI workloads’. This would be in addition to the general server admin skill sets we’ve been seeing so far.

Heavy knowledge in the following

Ø VMware (BUZZ: Distributed virtual switch, ESXi, High Availability or HA)

Ø SAN Technologies (BUZZ: Isilon, Nimble, Data Domain, SMB or CIFS, NFS)

Ø Computing Technologies (BUZZ: Dell Servers, UCS\Cisco Servers)

Medium knowledge in the following

Ø Container Technologies (BUZZ: Azure Stack, Kubernetes, Docker)

Ø Windows Administration\Deployments (BUZZ: Windows Server 2012 and newer)

Ø Linux Deployments (BUZZ: Redhat\RHEL, CentOS)

Light knowledge in the following

Ø Linux administration

Ø IIS and PHP deployments and functionality

Ø Puppet Technologies

Ø Networking

System Applications

Heavy Knowledge in the following

Ø IIS deployments and functionality. Apache\Tomcat is good too. (BUZZ: Web hosting, Web Development)

Ø Windows Administration\Deployments (BUZZ: Windows Server 2012 and newer)

Ø Linux Administration\Deployment (BUZZ: Redhat\RHEL, CentOS) (Not a deal breaker if they don’t have it, but would be a huge plus)

Medium Knowledge

Ø Deploying different softwares (BUZZ: PHP, .NET, Built-In Windows, Linux Tools)

Ø PHP knowledge. Other code languages would be beneficial too (BUZZ: Powershell, BASH, C#\C-Sharp).
